AREA COUNCIL

Each Episcopal area has an area council which is organized according to area priorities. The York Credit Valley Area Council Works with the Bishop in the following areas:

developing the overall strategy for ministry in the Area

overseeing the allocation of Ministry Development Grants

responsibility for the area budget and the area FaithWorks money

planning area events for laity and clergy

encouraging area parishes to work together to strengthen ministry in the York Credit Valley Area

Members are elected or appointed for a two year term and can serve a maximum of three terms. If you would be interested in serving on the Area Council please contact your Regional Dean or the Bishop’s Office.
