Out
of the Cold Programs
All
Saints, Kingsway – Friday nights – 20 guests (men only)
St.
Matthew’s, Islington – Sunday nights – 25 guests (men only)
St. Margaret’s, New They provide a shelter for homeless men on
various nights during the winter months.
The clients are given dinner, breakfast, a bag lunch and a token; have
the opportunity to shower, and can have their clothes washed. How can you help? Get together with neighbours to provide
dinner one night. Volunteering to participate (contact the
respective churches) Providing good used men’s sweaters,
sweatshirts, coats, boots. Instead
of giving gifts at your office, buy some warm socks, underwear or toiletries
for the men. |
